Check if the Heat Pump thermostat display is on and showing a reading
Replace the Heat Pump thermostat batteries with fresh ones
Verify the Heat Pump thermostat is set to the correct mode heat or cool
Check if the Heat Pump circuit breaker or switch supplying the system is on
Call for Heat Pump service if the thermostat still does not communicate with the system
