Turn off power to the Heat Pump and allow the system to cool down
Place a container under the Heat Pump relief valve discharge pipe to catch water
Check the Heat Pump pressure gauge to see if system pressure is too high
Verify the Heat Pump expansion tank is functioning properly not waterlogged
Call for professional Heat Pump service if the relief valve continues to discharge
