Locate the Heat Pump pilot light assembly and access panel for inspection
Check if the Heat Pump pilot flame is strong blue and engulfing the thermocouple
Clean the Heat Pump pilot orifice with compressed air if flame is weak
Verify the Heat Pump thermocouple is producing adequate millivolt output
Test Heat Pump pilot safety system by holding down the reset button
